LEARN – As well as learning how to cut, colour and style hair, your son or daughter will learn how to be an effective employee and an asset to a salon (this will give them a better chance at getting and keeping a job). Amongst other things, they will learn customer relations skills, how to meet and greet people, reception duties, and all about the products used.
QUALIFY – You will be a qualified hairdresser when you have your NVQ Level 3 and will take pride in the fact that you are making your clients look and feel fantastic.

With qualifications achieved recognised by City & Guilds, the chance of being an apprentice in a real working salon and once they are qualified, a career in Hairdressing that can take them as far as they want to go.
With a Level 1 in Hairdressing/Barbering they could be an assistant hairdresser or barber or an assistant receptionist.
With a Level 2 in Hairdressing they could be a junior receptionist, junior hairdresser or junior barber.
With Level 3 in Hairdressing they could go into the sales and marketing side of Hairdressing or even become a:-

With Level 4 Management / Higher National Certificate or Diploma in Hairdressing & Salon Management they could become a lecturer, salon training manager, reception manager, salon owner, session hairdresser or platform artist.
With a BA (Honours) Degree or Foundation Degree in Hairdressing & Salon Management they could consider a career as an education manager, inspectorate, consultant or salon manager.
